CEPT gets new prinicpal

Renowned architect Bimal Patel,whose many works in the city include IIM-Ahmedabad’s new campus,the city’s CG road and the controversial Sabarmati Riverfront,has been chosen to replace R N Vakil as president of the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology University (CEPT).

Renowned architect Bimal Patel,whose many works in the city include IIM-Ahmedabad’s new campus,the city’s CG road and the controversial Sabarmati Riverfront,has been chosen to replace R N Vakil as president of the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology University (CEPT). Patel is an aluma of CEPT and went on to receive a dual degree in architecture and city planning from the University of California,Berkeley,and later a Doctor of Philosophy in regional planning. The outgoing president R N Vakil,became the president of CEPT in 2005.
