Right then, 197 is the magic number for CSK to maintain their unbeaten streak against RCB at Chepauk since 2008. As Noor Ahmad pointed out in the interview, there doesn’t seem to be as much turn as there was in the previous game against MI, which could make the chase a bit more manageable. It is set up for an interesting chase, with the first six overs being key for both sides.

Noor Ahmad is up for a quick chat. He collects the Purple cap for picking up the most number of wickets so far. He says that the wicket was very good and believes that they did well to keep them under 200. Mentions there wasn’t much turn on offer and he was just trying to bowl on the nagging lengths. Says he feels lucky to have someone like MS Dhoni behind the stumps. Reckons that the wicket looks better and thinks a good start will help them to chase this down. Ends by saying he enjoyed picking up Virat's wicket.

Just as Kohli seemed to have found his groove, he fell. At the other end, Rajat Patidar held firm, riding his luck with a couple of dropped chances to keep the momentum going. His fifty set up the platform for a strong finish, but his departure came at an inopportune time for RCB. CSK seemed on course to close out well but David took down Sam Curran in the final over to push RCB past 190.

Late fireworks from Tim David have propelled Royal Challengers Bengaluru past 190, and they will be pleased to have reached that mark. The momentum swung back and forth throughout the 20 overs, and every time RCB seemed to seize the initiative, CSK found a way to strike back. Phil Salt got off the blocks quickly, and Devdutt Padikkal followed suit, ensuring a brisk tempo for the RCB innings, even as Virat Kohli struggled to find his rhythm.

STRATEGIC BREAK. This has been a productive little phase for CSK as they have conceded just 22 runs off the last three overs, while also picking up the wicket of Virat in this phase. Virat Kohli has struggled for timing and will need to shift gears soon. Striking big from ball one isn’t easy on this wicket, and hence, Rajat Patidar will need some time to settle in. The third umpire is called into action. The replays show that Salt's back leg was on the line when Dhoni gathered it. He tried to drag it back in, but Dhoni was quick enough to dislodge the bails, and Salt's foot was in the air when one bail came off the groove. Salt goes back for 32 (16). RCB are 45/1.

Is Salt stumped? Superb work from MS Dhoni behind the wickets as he collects the ball and whips the bails off before the blink of an eye.
