Inside Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s intimate wedding: Salman Khan, Rekha, Kajol, Anil Kapoor, others attend reception

Both Sonakshi and Zaheer Iqbal took to their Instagram handles to share wedding first photos. The couple was dressed in matching off-white outfits — while Sonakshi opted for a beautiful saree, Zaheer was in a kurta. The couple hosted a party at the celeb-favourite restaurant Bastian in Mumbai later in the evening with Bollywood’s who’s who in attendance. Sonakshi was seen dressed in a red saree and sported sindoor as she walked in ith husband Zaheer Iqbal. Before the celebrations on Sunday, the couple hosted an indoor party for friends and family on June 20 and a mehendi ceremony on June 21. According to sources Sonakshi has been preparing for her wedding for a few months now. She always expected to keep it simple and the dress code for the guests attending the wedding function is ‘festive and formal’. Earlier this year Sonakshi had shared how she imagined her wedding look when she walked the Bombay Times Fashion Week ramp in a black lehenga. According to reports, Sonakshi wore her mother, Poonam Sinha’s, hand-embroidered ivory sari. She teamed the six yards with a simple striped blouse. “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever,” she wrote on Instagram. (PTI Photo)
