LG has launched the V30S ThinQ smartphone at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. An improvement on the V30, the flagship smartphone still features a Snapdragon 835 processor, despite increasing storage options to 6GB RAM and 128/256GB internal memory. The new variant will also come in two new colours: Moroccan Blue and Platinum Gray.

LG V30S ThinQ is powered by a 3300mAh battery and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Like its predecessor, this smartphone will come with 16MP+ 13MP dual-rear cameras, along with a 5MP front facing camera. The camera has been redesigned though, to introduce AI-based features.

The camera app has an option for switching to the AI camera, and there’s also a QLens option. Once the AI camera is turned on, the LG V30S can automatically recognise the object being shot and then tune the picture accordingly. The LG V30S ThinQ’s camera uses machine learning to recognise eight different scene modes: portrait, food, pet, landscape, city, flower, sunrise, and sunset, claims the company.

Through QLens, users can point the camera at an object and it will try and match it with a product on Amazon or give a visual search for it, which is powered by Pinterest. There’s also an option of scanning QR code directly from this feature.

Huawei had launched the MateBook X Pro at MWC, making it the company’s first notebook to feature a FullView Display, with a 91 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The laptop sports a metallic body design with 14.6mm thickness and weight of 1.33 kg. The MateBook X Pro is available in two colour options – Space Gray and Mystic Silver.

This Huawei-made laptop is powered by the 8th Generation Intel Core i7/i5 processor with Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU and features 2GB GDDR5. The Matebook X Pro features the super-fast power button 2.0 which is said to enable login in 7.8 seconds from power off, and 6.6 seconds from hibernation.

On the MateBook X Pro, users can experience 10-point touchscreen access, that is backed by Corning Gorilla Glass with an anti-fingerprint coating. Huawei MateBook X Pro comes with Dolby Atmos sound system as well as custom quad speakers, for a 3D sound experience. These features are backed by a 57.4Wh battery.

Huawei MateBook X Pro supports USB-C fast charging and Huawei Share technology that lets users exchange photos and files, without the need of USB compatibility. The company says it offers Wi-Fi transfer speed up to 20Mbps.
