It’s that time of the year when we start assessing people, places and things all through the past 11-12 odd months. Kicking off a series of year-end lists is People magazine’s Sexiest Man of the Year. And the 2016 title-holder is none other than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who picks it up from last year’s winner David Beckham. The former WWE champion made the successful transition into acting, much to the surprise of many, not only excelling at great action movies but is known for his brilliant comic timing. When the 44-year-old heard about his title, “‘That’s awesome.’ And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is…And then I thought, ‘Wow, we’ve pretty much reached the pinnacle.’ I’m not quite too sure where we go from here. I’ve done it all, this is it.” Though Johnson won the 2016 title, there were several others who came pretty close. Here are the others who almost made it to the win. (Source: AP)
