Dilwale, Bajirao Mastani, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo: Highest opening weekend grossers of 2015

Dilwale - Rs 65.09 cr (Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol): Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's Dilwale is the latest release of the year 2015. The Rohit Shetty film started on a good note at the box office and has been going head strong. The film earned a whopping Rs. Rs 21 cr on its opening day and the weekend collections were Rs. 65.09 cr. Globally the film has earned more than Rs. 100 cr in the first four days of its release.

Bajirao Mastani - Rs 46.77 cr (Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra): With Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dilwale' came Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Bajirao Mastani'. Starring the likes of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, the film is still competing with its contemporary. Despite releasing alongside 'Dilwale', the film has done well at the box office and managed to earn Rs. 46.77 cr in the opening weekend itself.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo - Rs 129.77 cr (Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor): Salman Khan has proved that he is the box office king and no one can surpass his films when it comes to figures. His last release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo for which he collaborated with Sooraj Barjatya after 16 years was loved by his fans and the film earned a whopping Rs. 129.77 cr in the opening weekend. The film shattered many box office records.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan - Rs 102.60 cr (Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan): Salman Khan featured in two movies this year, and both the films were blockbusters. Bajrangi Bhaijaan, directed by Kabir Khan, released on Eid in July 2015 and earned Rs. 102 cr in the opening weekend. Though Kareena Kapoor Khan played his lady love in the film, Salman fetched all the limelight for his role of an innocent Hanuman bhakt.

Singh Is Bliing - Rs 54.44 cr (Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson)": Akshay Kumar's outing at box office has also been successful this year. The actor rib tickled the viewers with his performance in Prabhudheva's 'Singh is Bliing' which minted Rs. 54.44 cr at the box office in its first weekend.

Brothers - Rs 52.08 cr (Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez): Once again, Akshay Kumar earned good figures at the box office with the film 'Brothers' which also starred Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez. Akshay played the role of a wrestler in the film.

ABCD 2 - Rs 46.35 cr (Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan)

Featuring Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar, it had actors Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah play the role of parents. Shot entirely on a cruise, the film earned Rs. 37.05 cr in the first weekend.
