Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is in the national capital to discuss the issue of Telangana statehood with the Congress high command,even the the core group of the party is slated to meet on Friday evening. Meanwhile,Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh has said that it's time to take a decision. "The process of consultation is over,it is time to take a decision on Telangana," he said. According to reports,the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has already met state in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad,Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde,Digvijaya Singh and party president Sonia Gandhi's political advisor Ahmed Patel. The Congress core group meeting,which is expected to discuss the issue of Telangana statehood,is slated to be attended by Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well. This comes around 15 days after the Congress had deferred the decision on July 12,saying a final call on the issue would be taken by the party working committee.
