LUCKNOW: The BJP will stage demonstrations at all district headquarters across the state Saturday in support of IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal. BJP workers led by state president Laxmikant Bajpai held a demonstration at the District Magistrates office in Noida Friday and demanded the government to revoke Nagpals suspension.

Congress joins chorus

New Delhi: Congress Friday joined Opposition parties in condemning the suspension of honest Durga Shakti Nagpal but at the same time disapproved the arbitrary demolition” of the wall of a mosque. Party spokesperson Bhakta Charan Das also debunked the UP government’s claim on the issue and said that Nagpal seems to have been suspended due to her stand against the sand mafia and not because of the demolition of the mosque wall.
