Mayor to rope in experts for city development

Unable to reach a consensus on various development issues,Mayor Mohansingh Rajpal has decided to bring in experts to guide the civic body in carrying out development work.

“The city is suffering due to lack of infrastructure that can cater to the needs of increasing population. The civic body is unable to carry out the development work since there is no consensus on issues and there are many obstacles in implementing the projects,” said Rajpal. “All issues related to development can only be resolved by bringing in experts on one table,” he said adding,”A healthy discussion on the issues and ways to go ahead on development is must.” Once the doubts are resolved and everyone satisfied,the projects would gain speed,Rajpal said.

At present,there is a debate going on implementation of metro rail project and Bus Rapid Transit System in the city. There are political differences on implementation and also objections from the experts.
