The pleasant weather that NCR residents have been enjoying over the last few days will continue,with the Meteorological department assuring clear skies and mist in the morning for at least another week.
On Saturday,temperature in the Capital remained comfortably below 30 degrees Celsius,one degree lower than the expected maximum. A similar one degree departure from normal was recorded in the minimum temperature too.
While the minimum temperature was recorded at 15.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday,it is expected to further come down to 15 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
Though the Meteorological department has predicted a slight rise in temperature towards the beginning of next week,it is not expected to rise above 15 degrees Celsius in the coming days. Meanwhile,dry conditions are expected to continue,officials added.
While no conclusive predictions can be made at this point about the severity of winter this year,there are indications are that it will be normal or slightly colder than usual this year,D P Yadav,director of the Indian Meteorological Department,said on Saturday.
The city has already witnessed the onset of winter. Evenings and early mornings have become chilly since Diwali,and the climate seems colder than this time last season. I did not expect it to dip until November began, said a resident of East Delhi.
