Addressing a press conference here,Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta and leader of Delhi Legislative Assembly V K Malhotra said residents should not be burdened with development charges and all the colonies should be regularised immediately.

They said a delegation of senior leaders will meet UD Minister to ask for regularisation of all unauthorised colonies.

“Effectively, only those colonies, which are on private land, have been regularised. But 583 colonies, which are on government land, will will have to wait a while longer. These colonies cannot be regularised until every household pays the cost of the land to the land owing agency. Delhi government has deceived the people,” Gupta said.

“If the unauthorised colonies are not regularised immediately, then the party will launch protests across Delhi,” he said.
