With the Lok Sabha polls just two days away, political parties have been engaging in every method possible — in both real and virtual spaces — to make their presence known to the public.
Meanwhile, campaigning for the April 19 Lok Sabha polls ended on Wednesday with political parties holding public meetings, roadshows and reaching out to the people in as many ways as possible.

A beam of sunlight fell directly on Ram Lalla’s idol at the new temple in Ayodhya Wednesday noon, marking the “Surya Tilak” of the idol on the first Ram Navami since its consecration. The event was shared on social media platforms by a number of BJP leaders as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Prime Minister, who was on election campaign in Assam’s Nalbari, watched the event on his computer tablet.
“After my Nalbari rally, I had the privilege of witnessing the wonderful and incomparable moment of Surya Tilak of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. Like crores of Indians, this is a very emotional moment for me,” the prime minister posted on X, along with two photographs of him watching the ceremony on a tablet.
The PM was seen paying obeisance while watching the video of the ceremony.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also shared a video of the ‘Surya Tilak’ on his official handle on X. “The grand ‘Surya Tilak’ adorned on the forehead of Suryakul Bhushan Shri Ram Lalla is today illuminating the entire nation with its eternal glory. Jai Jai Shri Ram!,” he wrote.

The Ram idol was consecrated in a ceremony led by Modi on January 22.

The drum-like instrument was gifted to PM Modi by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
