Lok Sabha Election News Highlights: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking time to explain his party's manifesto, called the 'Nyay Patra', news agency PTI reported. In the letter, he also claimed that the Prime Minister was being misinformed by his advisors about things that were not mentioned in the Congress party's manifesto. Kharge had, earlier, sought an appointment with Modi to “convince him about the party’s manifesto.” PM Modi, at a rally in Rajasthan on April 21, said that Congress, if voted to power, could distribute the nation’s wealth among “infiltrators” and “those who have more children”. As the campaigning ended Wednesday for the second phase of the Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Madhya Pradesh's Morena, where he doubled down his attack on Congress and said, "Congress wants to impose inheritance tax and take away over half of your earnings." Morena will go to polls in the third phase on May 7. The PM also addressed a rally in Agra, with UP CM Yogi Adityanath in attendance.
