The Election Commission of India (ECI) first announced bypolls to 48 Assembly seats and two Lok Sabha constituencies on October 15.
The bypolls were held on November 13 for all seats except the Nanded parliamentary constituency in Maharashtra and Kedarnath Assembly constituency in Uttarakhand, which were held on November 20. However, the by-elections in 14 of the 15 seats were rescheduled from November 13 after receiving requests from political parties in view of voter turnout being affected due to festivities.
