The killing of Atiq and Ashraf Ahmed on live TV, and the UP govt’s response
On the 15th of April, Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf Ahmed were shot dead by two people on live TV in Prayagraj (UP). The men, after shooting the brothers, surrendered and chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Since the incident, the opposition has severely criticised the Yogi Adityanath-led government, while several BJP leaders have called it divine justice.
