These are the top 5 moments from the May 13 (May 14 in India) edition of WWE Raw.

1] Drew McIntyre opens the show

This week’s WWE Raw episode opened with the Scottish Warrior “Drew McIntrye,” calling out CM Punk for his last week’s antiques and accusing General Manager Adam Pierce of favouritism. He went on to call Punk a hypocrite and a liar before stitching his attention to Jey Uso and taking shots at him for losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Backlash 2024. He then started taking shots at the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Damien Priest, but Priest made his way into the ring to confront Drew. Priest told Drew that whatever was happening to him was his own fault as he was the one who made Punk more important than anything else in his life. He then gave Drew a shot at his title after the latter was cleared for in-ring action to close the segment.

2] Kofi Kingston vs Gunther

The first of the two scheduled King of the Ring tournament quarterfinal matches of the night saw New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Imperium’s Gunther taking on each other. Kofi attacks Gunther even before the match began to avenge his teammate Xavier Woods. However, Gunther soon took control of the match and used his strength advantage to punish Kofi. Kofi tried using his speed to counter Gunther’s strength but failed, as Gunther bended Kofi’s body, utilising the ring pole to inflict more damage. Kofi somehow manages to land his finisher SOS, but Gunther kicks out in two before putting the former World Champion in Boston Crab lock to pick up the win. Gunther advanced to the semifinals.

3] Queen of the Ring matches

Both the Queen of the Ring quarterfinal matches of the Raw bracket took place this week. The first match saw the old rivalry from the NXT days of Iyo Sky and Shayna Baszler reigniting. Shayna attacked Iyo before the match (It seems like a new trend in this tournament) to take an early advantage. Iyo showed eventual glimpses of a comeback, but Shayna overpowed her quickly. Shayna went for the submission, but Iyo countered and went for the Over the Moonsault to pick up the win. In the second match, Lyra Valkyria took on Zoey Stark in a short but solid match. Just like the first match, Zoey took the early advantage, but Lyra made a swift counter to pin Zoey one, two and three to qualify for the semifinals of the tournament. Lyra and Iyo will now lock horns for the final spot of the tournament next week.

4] The Alpha Academy crisis continues

Ever since his heel turn, Chad Gable has been continuously belittling his teammates for their shortcomings. His prime target for this week was Maxinne Dupri, who lost her Queen of the Ring round match against Shayna Baszler. He called her pathetic before turning his attention to Otis and Tozawa, who are scheduled to face Sami Zayn and Bronson Reed. However, to the disappointment of Chad Gable, both his teammates failed to win the matches, sending Gable into a frenzy. Gable started shoving Otis in the ring before Sami attacked him to make the save (Sort of). Otis apologises to Gable on the ramp for his failure, but Gable slaps Otis to close the segment.

5] King of the Ring action in the main event

In the night’s main event, the Mad Dragon “Ilja Draganov” took on the Main Event “ Jey Uso,” in the final King of the Ring quarterfinal match from the Raw bracket. Draganov takes the early lead with his offensive fighting style, but Jey made a comeback with a top-rope dive on the outside. Jey went for the Samoan Drop outside the ring, but Draganov counters with an upper kick. Draganov then set Jey for an H-bomb on the announce table, but Jey moved out in time as Dragaov went straight through the table. Jey hit Dragaov with Uso’s spear as both men went down outside. Despite the beating outside, Draganov once again got  control and set Jey for Constantine Lariet, but Jey countered with another spear and Uso splashed to pick up the win. Gunther made his way into the ring as both the semifinalists stood face to face to close the show.
