US President Donald Trump has warned that Hamas must disarm or the group will be disarmed by force, Reuters reported.

Speaking at the White House during a meeting with Argentine President Javier Milei on Tuesday, Trump said: “If they don’t disarm, we will disarm them. And it will happen quickly and perhaps violently.”

Trump said he had received word from Hamas “through my people” that the group would agree to disarm following recent talks at what he called “the highest level”.

He also claimed that Hamas had “taken out two very evil gangs” in Gaza and “killed a number of them,” adding that “it didn’t bother me much,” according to Reuters.

Trump further said he wanted the return of hostages killed in Gaza, telling reporters that their remains must be brought back to the United States.
