Even as US President Donald Trump continues to insist that he is in good shape and that reporting about his health is “seditious, perhaps even treasonous,” late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has become the latest to ask if all is really well.

Jimmy Kimmel questions Trump’s health

“Our president appears to be deeply unwell, even for him,” Kimmel said on the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Tearing into Trump’s claim of clearing three cognitive exams, Kimmel said, “That means he passed the first two, and they were like ‘this can’t be right.’ Let’s give him one more.”

“Something is wrong here. The guy who is running our country is being given unscheduled dementia tests. He’s been given MRIs. He has mystery bruises that he’s covering with Maybelline. And we’re supposed to accept this idea that he’s some cross between Chris Hemsworth and Albert Einstein?,” said Kimmel, who was briefly taken off air by ABC in September, after his comments on the death of Charlie Kirk angered Trump and many Republicans.

Growing speculation over Trump’s health

At 79 years old, Trump is the oldest US President in history, and ever since he assumed office in January, there have been speculations about his health. Trump has been regularly photographed with bruised hands and swollen ankles. He was also seen dozing off at events, including during the recent Cabinet meeting, where cameras caught Trump fighting off sleep.

Reports of Trump undertaking unscheduled cognitive tests and undergoing an MRI recently have only added fuel to the fire.

‘Trump in excellent overall health’

Despite assurances from the White House doctor that Trump remained in “excellent overall health,” US media, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN, have been repeatedly asking questions about the president’s health.

Trump vents on Truth Social

This has not gone down well with Trump, who took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to vent his frustration.

“There has never been a President that has worked as hard as me! My hours are the longest, and my results are among the best. I’ve stopped Eight Wars, saving many millions of lives in the process, created the Greatest Economy in the History of our Country,” Trump said in a long post.

“I go out of my way to do long, thorough, and very boring Medical Examinations at the Great Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, seen and supervised by top doctors, all of whom have given me PERFECT Marks — Some have even said they have never seen such Strong Results,” he continued.

Reiterating that he ‘aced the cognitive tests,’ Trump accused the media of “pretending that I am “slowing up,” am maybe not as sharp as I once was, or am in poor physical health, knowing that it is not true.”

Calling such reports fake news, Trump suggested that it was “seditious, perhaps even treasonous” and called the media “true Enemies of the people” before warning that “we should do something about it.”
