Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the resumption of airstrikes on Gaza is appropriate and warned that it is “just the beginning” as he called to continue the negotiations on restoring the ceasefire but "only under fire". Netanyahu, in a briefing, said that Israel will continue to fight and achieve its goals, but military pressure on Hamas was a "critical condition" for securing the release of hostages. The Israeli prime minister recalled the aim of the war - to destroy Hamas and free all hostages held by the militant group. Netanyahu, during his address which was aired on television, said that all further negotiations with Hamas will take place “under fire”. Associated Press reported that the White House had been consulted by Israel PM’s Office and it voiced support for Tel Aviv’s actions. He adds that the public must avoid and not believe the propaganda being spread by Hamas and Israel can’t be stopped from achieving its war aims. In the fresh airstrike on Tuesday by Israel on the Gaza Strip, more than 400 Palestinians were killed, local health officials said. It also shattered the two month long ceasefire which came into effect on January 19. Netanyahu informed that military action by Israel against the Gaza based Hamas militant group is not over yet and that “Israel is in the middle of the war”. He claimed that his country will win it and “There's one thing I'm certain of, we will beat them and we can overcome them.”
