Etihad Rail Passenger Train Opening Date: The long-anticipated passenger train services between Dubai and Fujairah is set to commence next year. Once introduced, the train services will transform connectivity in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the region. "The UAE’s passenger rail project, a key pillar of the country’s national railway network, is among the region’s most ambitious and forward-looking transport initiatives. It embodies a unified vision for integrated mobility and logistics, fully aligned with the UAE’s national transport strategies," the statement added. Etihad Rail Passenger Train Speed, Etihad Rail High Speed Passenger Train, Etihad Rail Abu Dhabi to Dubai Etihad Rail's passenger train will operate at speeds of up to 200 kmph, with the first four passenger stations located in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah. Once operational, one can travel between Abu Dhabi to Dubai and Dubai to Fujairah in just 50 minutes each and from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah in 100 minutes. "The project reflects the UAE’s commitment to unity, connectivity, and sustainability, while advancing the national drive toward net zero emissions by 2050," it said. Etihad Rail Passenger Train Capacity Each train is expected to accommodate up to 400 passengers, with annual ridership projected to reach 36.5 million passengers annually by 2030.
