Proposal videos constitute some of the most wholesome content on social media. Some of the most viral public proposal videos are somehow shot by a third party. However, now a unique proposal video accidentally recorded by a woman being proposed to is going viral.
In the video, a woman is taking a panoramic video of what appears to be a lakeside view. As the camera pans towards the ground, she notices her partner kneeling on the ground with a ring. This video has gathered hundreds of likes. Commenting on it, an Instagram user wrote, “His little giggle right before she pans to him”. Another Instagram user remarked, “The first correct use of “POV” I’ve ever seen on social media!”
“Seems to be accidental honestly. I make videos of the ocean like this. He probably knew this was his moment and pulled it out when she had her back turned,” another person wrote.
While this was a wholesome proposal video, not all proposals illicit similar positive videos. In April 2024, a marriage proposal that took place on a match field divided the netizens.
Ricardo Juarez, a resident of Riverside in US California, decided to propose to his girlfriend Ramona Gutierrez by invading the pitch of a baseball game, he was hoping that the proposal would be caught by cameras on the jumbotron. Instead, he was tackled by security guards and got a one-year ban from attending any matches at the Dodger Stadium. While many people were amused at Juarez’s antics, others argued that his moves disrupted the match-viewing experience.
