What was PM Modi really looking at? Social media has the answer

Netizens take inspiration from PIB's faux pas with Modi's image merging, and came out with their own interpretations.

On December 3, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting committed a faux pas that it would probably never be able to live down. The PIB ‘merged’ two images and tweeted out a photograph of Prime Minister when he was visiting the flood-hit areas of Chennai.

This is the original photo.

And this is what the PIB later posted.

The unmerciful social media was quick to catch the error, much to the embarrassment of the PIB. The next day, the bureau issued a statement regretting the ‘inconvenience caused’ by the ‘merging of two pictures’ it had shared a day earlier. But that didn’t stop netizens from taking cue from the government body and coming out with their own versions of what was outside the window. Take a look.
