
Bihar’s engineering college students claimed to have found a dead snake in their mess food. According to reports, at least ten students were taken to a hospital due to food poisoning last week. The photo of the dead snake in the curry is now doing rounds on the Internet.
The viral photo shows a tiny snake floating in the gravy served to the students. Sharing the incident, an X user Rishi Singh wrote, “A dead snake found in the meal at government engineering College banka, bihar. Immediately after consuming the food students experienced vomiting and nausea. Even after visit of local authority no appropriate action was taken.”
“The matter is being suppressed by college management. Students says (said) that many such incidents of insects being found in food have already happened. But everytime it was ignored by the college administration,” Singh wrote.

As per reports, the college administration changed the food vendor and imposed a fine on the accused.
In 2022, as many as 100 students at a government school in Bihar’s Araria district fell sick after eating a midday meal in which a dead snake was found. According to reports, khichadi was served to students by an outsourcing agency.
Earlier, insects were found in the eggs served with the midday meals in Siwan district. The school authorities had served rice, daal and eggs to the children. According to reports, students found insects when they removed the shells of the eggs.
In another midday meal tragedy in Bihar, as many as 23 children had died of food poisoning after eating the meal served to them in a government school in Chhapra.
