Sultan actor Salman Khan has apparently gone ahead and done it again. He’s made one of his characteristic faux pas, and there is very little that he can do this time to get himself out of this quagmire of his own making.
In an interview, which initially seemed like a Spotboye exclusive, Khan was talking about his hectic shooting schedule for Sultan, in which he plays a wrestler. While expounding on how gruelling the shoot was, Khan has been quoted as saying: “While shooting, during those six hours, there’d be so much of lifting and thrusting on the ground involved. That was tough for me because if I was lifting, I’d have to lift the same 120-kilo guy 10 times for 10 different angles. And likewise, get thrown that many times on the ground. This act is not repeated that many times in the real fights in the ring. When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight. I would eat and then, head right back to training. That couldn’t stop.”

Now, we understand that after such a hectic schedule, coupled with a barrage of interviews, it can be difficult to think straight, but can anyone — let alone a public figure with such a huge fan following — be forgiven for making such a comparison?

It seemed like Spotboye had an exclusive one on one with Salman, but it was actually a group interaction as has come to light in an audio recording of the event, where Salman made the comment.
True to form, Twitterverse is abuzz with Khan’s comment, and people have minced no words to tweet out their opinion. Sample these:
Salman Khan compared his shooting schedule to what a “raped woman” feels like. Is that worse than Lata-Sachin jokes, Bollywood?

I know Salman Khan has fans. But if his female fans are ok with his “I felt like a raped woman” then I’ve just lost faith in the world.

But there were some fans, who came in support of the Dabangg actor. A film critic even claimed that Khan was misquoted.
We are amazing!
We’ll outrage on how Salman Khan said he felt like a raped woman post shooting and then we’ll say Gayle raped 11 men at once— PythaGauri Theorem (@DramebaazPorgi) June 20, 2016
