Pre-flight announcements are often deemed boring. However, some pilots like SpiceJet’s Mohit Teotia bring their own amusing twists to these announcements and add a little dose of entertainment to the journey. Teotia, popularly known as the “poetic pilot”, recently posted a video in which he makes a cheeky announcement before his flight departed for Bangkok in Thailand.

After welcoming the passengers and introducing himself and his co-pilot, Teotia slyly alluded to Bangkok’s vibrant adult entertainment industry and said, “Jo jo bangkok ki flight pe jooth bol ke aaye aaj ki shyaam, vo wapas dhyan se aana, varna bhabi ji kheech sakti hai kaan”. This loosely translates to, “All those who are on this flight by lying, should be careful on their return because if their wives find out they might end up in trouble.”

In response to Teotia’s jibe, the passengers erupted into laughter and applause. While sharing this video on his Instagram account, he wrote, “I am happy, when my passengers are happy.”.

Since being shared five days ago, the video has amassed more than 1.4 lakh likes. Commenting on it, an Instagram user wrote, “When everyone is selling similar product, these Add-ons and especially the unconventional ones differentiate the product/ Service. I am sure you get a lot of satisfaction in doing this- it’s quite visible in the videos, and customers may be keeping their fingers crossed – if by luck they get you as the Pilot for their SG flights Wishing you all the very best!”.

Another person said, “@poeticpilot_ U r amazing .. U have set an example of best customer centric pilot . The way u keep ur passenger happy… it’s outstanding wish to meet you some day”.
