Sehwag gets cheeky after India’s win against England, and Piers Morgan gets trolled on Twitter

Indians, including Virender Sehwag, don't forget and a user reminded Piers Morgan of his biting tweet against India.

India won the Test match against England by an innings and 75 runs, and people can’t stop celebrating this awesome win. Twitterati’s been sending countless congratulatory messages to the team, man of the series Virat Kohli and let’s not even talk about the noise that’s being made for man of the match Karun Nair after his triple century.

Even an ecstatic Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to write this: “Yes Yes Yes ! Jaddu, parcel some ladoo to England. Always good to beat the inventors at their game. Next time we should do well in England.”

Now, it’s anyone’s guess whether this was meant as a dig at the British journalist Piers Morgan, with whom he’s had a turbulent Twitter relationship over the past couple of months, or at demonetisation, given BJP Delhi’s decision to give one laddoo per family standing in the serpentine bank and ATM queues.

The journalist had been trolled by Sehwag earlier as well, after the Kabaddi World Cup 2016. “India invented Kabaddi & r World Champs for 8th time. Elsewhere some country invented Cricket & r yet only good in correcting typos,” Sehwag had written.

Not to be outdone, this time, many Indian Twitter users even took this opportunity of having won the series against England to pull Morgan’s leg, who had mocked the performance of Indians in Rio Olympics. “Country with 1.2 billion people wildly celebrates 2 losing medals. How embarrassing is that?” he had said in a tweet after which Indian Twitterati trolled him massively.

Clearly, Indians don’t forget and a user reminded Piers Morgan of his biting tweet against India. “Hey @piersmorgan , the number of gold medals India won in Rio are now finally equal to the number of test matches England won in this series,” wrote @Sand_In_Deed.

Morgan was quick and curt in his response. “Haha, fair point! Difference is that I’m ashamed of England’s performance,” he wrote.

And then there was no looking back. Twitterati’s having a field day taking potshots at Morgan.
