Mumbai man collapses seconds after scoring boundary, dies of heart attack during cricket match

A cricket match in Mumbai ended in tragedy as Ram Ganesh Tewar, 42, suffered a fatal heart attack. The incident occurred during a match organised by a company in Mumbai’s Kashmira area. The video shared on social media platform X captured Tewar hitting a six before collapsing.

The post read, “Ram Ganesh Tewar collapsed and died while playing cricket soon after hitting a six due to heart attack in Thane’s Mira Road area in Maharashtra. Short after delivering a shot as he prepared to face the next delivery, he suddenly collapsed. Fellow players immediately rushed to his aid, attempting to revive him, but their efforts were in vain. The man remained unresponsive on the ground. Sudden death cases have increased rapidly.”

Despite immediate efforts to rush him to the hospital, he was declared dead on arrival. According to reports, doctors confirmed that Tewar succumbed to a sudden heart attack.

Police have also registered a case of sudden death, launching an investigation into the incident. Tewar’s untimely death left social media in shock. One user said, “Doesn’t get any more sudden and unexpected than that. Perfectly fine one moment, dead the next..” Another user said, “@ICMRDELHI should do a research about cardiac arrest causes in india !!”
