An old video featuring actor Manoj Bajpayee is gaining traction on social media, giving cinephiles a glimpse of the colourful theatre days of the Family Man star. The clip is from the 1991 theatrical storytelling series Suno Re Kissa, written by Piyush Mishra and performed by a stellar cast: Divya Seth Shah, Poornima Kharga, Bajpayee, and Mishra himself.
The video was shared by the official social media handles of Prasar Bharati Archives and highlights the drastic career transformation of the artistes. While Mishra played the harmonium, other artistes sang along in a dance sequence from the play. Dressed in a blue T-shirt and grey pants, young Bajpayee looked unrecognisable in the video.

Fans flocked to the comment section soon after the video went viral, also prompting a reaction from Mishra.

Bajpayee, who was rejected by the National School of Drama (NSD) four times, went on to win several prestigious accolades including four National Film Awards, two Asia Pacific Screen Awards, and the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour.
Mishra, on the other hand, graduated from NSD in 1986 and has received plaudits for his acting prowess in Maqbool, Gangs of Wasseypur, Rockstar, and for the song Husna from MTV Coke Studio.
