It's not the first time the name of a city has been changed but the latest to join the club is Gurgaon, corporate hub on the outskirts of Delhi, which the Haryana government has decided to rename as Gurugram. The decision, in fact, is rooted in a 2012 proposal made by the municipal corporation, wherein the committee set up to look into the matter suggested it should be renamed as Gurugram because it is believed to be Guru Dronacharya's ancestral village. Well, Gurugram? Really? The sudden change of name has become the talk of the town and people actually cant stop joking. Many took to social media to vent and share their 'opinion' on the issue. Gurgaon is now #Gurugram. The city is now confident of winning next year's Graami awards. — Ramesh Srivats (@rameshsrivats) April 12, 2016 Gurgaon now called #Gurugram.
