At seven-foot-one, The Great Khali has long been the benchmark for towering wrestlers. But his latest Instagram post has fans doing a double take, because next to him stands a teenager who makes the former WWE wrestler look almost average.
The teen is 16-year-old Karan Singh from Meerut, reportedly measuring a staggering eight-foot-two and still growing. In a clip shared online, Khali (real name Dalip Singh Rana) marvelled at the teenager’s size, writing, “He is a very tall kid. I want to make him a WWE superstar. I want to really help him.”
Another video posted by Khali shows him chatting with Karan inside what appears to be a wrestling training centre. As the two shook hands, Khali joked, “For the first time in my life, I had to look upwards in order to talk to someone.”
Karan, who already has a following on social media thanks to his extraordinary height, also posted footage of the meet-up, including shots of them standing inside a wrestling ring together.
Comments poured in, ranging from admiration to pure comedy. One fan wrote, “Great Khali meets Greater Khali.” Another quipped, “Gonna tell my kids this was Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal.” Someone else joked, “When Hacker Meets Developer.”
And a fourth person referenced a line from the Bollywood comedy Dhamaal: “Baap ka bhi baap hota h or usse ham dadaji kehte h” (Even a father has a father, and we call him grandfather). A fifth user added, “Bring him to the wwe to chalk, slam whoever and whatever.”
