Food vlogger Kripal Amanna recently reviewed the meal served to him on a Vistara flight from Bengaluru to New Delhi. Amanna said the airlines’ food reminded him of the “inedible meals served in a badly run hostel mess by indifferent cooks”.

Sharing a photo of his non-vegetarian meal with a chocolate dessert, the vlogger wrote, “Wow! @airvistara your main meal aboard UK820 this evening evoked a sense of nostalgia! That of near inedible meals served in a badly run hostel mess by indifferent cooks! Insipid flavours, the sort of texture that would indicate the chicken should have ideally been consumed hours ago, and the chocolate dessert, benchmarked perhaps to a kindergarten cookery project. Amazing!” Amanna posted on X.

The food vloggers’ scathing review prompted the airlines to respond to it. “Hi Kripal, all our meals are prepared keeping the highest standards of quality in mind, and we are disheartened to note of your disappointment,” Vistara responded.

The airlines also asked the vlogger to message his flight details and other information to “look into the matter and address the issue at the earliest”.

The vloggers’ review caught the internet’s attention, amassing several reactions. One of them slammed the airline and said, “This request is like SBI asking for 3 months for a print out that should take at best 2 days. He has given the flight details and you can see his name in the post, so shouldn’t it be easy to get his phone number from your records and call him.”

“Had chicken rice on your Delhi Bangalore flight on 30th December night. Fell ill for 4 days with stomach infection… so spare the preaching,” another user shared.
