Diwali celebrations in offices are usually marked by small gestures—sweets, chocolates or modest gifts for employees. But one company recently took the celebrations to a completely different level, leaving everyone talking.
A video surfaced on Instagram showing employees dressed in traditional attire, proudly holding their Diwali gifts: an air fryer and a small box. The clip, captioned, “If you’re still getting ‘Soan Papdi’, please resign,” quickly went viral, sparking a wave of humorous reactions from viewers.
People couldn’t stop joking about the extravagant gifts. Comments ranged from “Mere HR bole AI hai” to curious questions, “Apki company me hiring kab shuru ho rhi?”
Many users compared the lavish presents with the modest Diwali celebrations in their officers, highlighting the stark contrast.
Responding to the post, one user wrote, “Aur agar sonpapdi bhi na mile toh kya karna chaiye?” while another said, “Bold of you to assume that some companies even give son papdi.” Some reactions leaned into satire, with one user remarking, “90% of corporate slaves have gone into depression after viewing such reels.” Swiggy Instamart joined in, commenting simply, “bare minimum yaar.”
Others reflected on the sheer generosity, joking about how a modest gift could spark immense happiness. “From 4k to 5k VIP trolleys to ₹3k Agaro air fryers! these majdurs are celebrating like they just won a lottery! All this happiness for something worth less than 10% of their salary… true example of ‘small gifts, big emotions!’”

Instagram was flooded with videos from Info Edge employees, showing their presents, ranging from a set of VIP suitcases to boxes and decorative diyas, making it clear that some companies go all out to make their employees feel special during the festival of lights.
