The access to Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools has empowered people to give life to their imaginations. Rashi Pandey (@rashi__pandey_), a student from Delhi University, recently harnessed the power of AI to create an Indian version of Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic painting – Mona Lisa.
In this reimagined AI artwork, Mona Lisa is seen in a traditional suit, with a dupatta draped over her forehead, and wearing Indian jewellery, including a maang tikka, earrings, and a heavy necklace.

Rashi posted the image along with a caption saying, “I made the Indian version of Mona Lisa using AI. Give her a name.” The post has gone viral with over a lakh views. Many X users suggested funny names for the creation.
One user reposted the image along with the caption, “Monali from Rajasthan. Monali Sa.”
When one X user suggested this Indian version of Mona Lisa should have a bindi, another user made it happen, and posted the new image saying, “Fixed”.
While one user suggested “Mona Pandey” as the name, another user commented, “Maithili Sisodiya”. A third user wrote, “Monisha Rani,” and another X user called “Monika bhabhi”.
