Bihar has long faced scrutiny, particularly in the field of education. Despite the presence of popular educators like Khan Sir and others who frequently highlight the shortcomings, the state’s education system continues to draw criticism and raise serious questions about governance and reform. Ahead of the Assembly elections, a recent video showing a teacher conducting a mock test on the banks of the Ganga has reignited the debate on social media.
The viral video shows several students sitting by the riverbank and taking the test, while onlookers—many on a boat—clicked photos and recorded the scene. Sharing the video, an X user, Ankur Singh, wrote, “Height of Stupidity! This is not test, this is mocking students for your promotion. Next time he’ll conduct test at Expressway and monitor it from Helicopter?”

The video, originally shared on September 27, quickly gained traction, sparking a debate over Bihar’s poor infrastructure.
Several X users backed the teacher, calling it an “innovative” way of learning for students. “There is no question for debate. The teacher has an innovative idea, we all must appreciate. It is a mock test and the count is huge.. seems like a good place,” a user wrote. “This is the height of stupidity…no one should go to such faculty who use their students as their marketing tool, don’t be a fool, understand that he is not on the path of teaching you but to earn as much money as he can by making a fool of you,” another user commented.
“When you don’t have infrastructure,” a third user reacted. “Rabindranath Tagore’s open ground schooling concept emphasizes learning in a natural, outdoor environment to foster creativity, curiosity, and a connection with nature, as opposed to traditional sterile classrooms. This holistic approach, exemplified by his Santiniketan,” a fourth user reacted.
