Baraat goes ‘silent’, earns netizens’ praises

An Indian wedding put its own spin on the silent disco concept.

Silent barat. The wedding was located near a cancer hospital.

In a wedding that broke all traditions, a not-so-typical baraat took centre stage, inspired by the silent disco of the ‘Breakup song’ from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

The groom’s procession, known as the ‘baraat’ in Hindi, turned into a silent celebration, handing out headphones to all attendees. The result? A hit that had everyone grooving to their ‘own’ tunes.

The viral video, making waves on Instagram, was shared by vlogger @shefoodie. She revealed that the wedding was located near a cancer hospital.

Therefore, the aim was to keep the festivities lively without disturbing the peace, avoiding any kind of noise pollution.

One of them wrote, “Viral finally. Well deserved.” A second wrote, “Very good initiative.” A third said, “Dude… This is a nice idea… Other people will also not disturb.”
