On Monday, popular content creator who goes by the name Dhananjay_Tech (@Dhananjay_Tech) shared a video that showed how the space under a flyover was converted to make a cricket pitch, basketball court, and badminton court. This area was covered with a net to make sure that the balls do not bounce to the roads.
This video soon gathered over 11,000 likes since it was posted. Commenting on it, a Twitter user wrote, “brilliant idea! We in bangalore also use the best space under bridge. we use it to dump our garbage, urinate, vandelize or even a dope shelter! 🥸”.
Another person remarked, “This looks so good. Have seen people playing chess under the flyover in Kolkata. It’s pretty famous. This one in Mumbai is huge, though. In my city, it’s used for parking and we barely get a space to park our vehicles. It stays crowded all the time.”
As per Newsband, a local daily from Navi Mumbai, this public sports complex covers 2745.27 square kilometres. It was opened for free use in December 2022.
