Top 10 self-made richest women in India, 2024 Hurun Rich List: India this year, in 2024, has seen an extraordinary surge in wealth creation and is emerging as a key player in this global wealth creation narrative.
The 2024 Hurun India Rich List 2024 reveals that India’s growth has added 220 individuals to the ranks of the ultra-wealthy, resulting in a combined net worth exceeding ₹1,000 crore.
This growth is particularly significant against the backdrop of a 25% decline in China’s billionaire population.
Notably, women in India today are breaking stereotypes by building successful startups across various industries, breaking the traditional gender dominance of wealth and influence.
The recently released Hurun Rich List 2024 has featured ten self-made female billionaires who have made significant contributions to the Indian economy through their innovative startups, which have made fortunes.
Leading the list is Radha Vembu, the co-founder of Zoho Corp., a global technology company that provides software solutions for businesses.
Having a net worth of ₹47,500 crore, Vembu has become India’s richest self-made woman, and her leadership has transformed Zoho into a billion-dollar enterprise.
Following next is Falguni Nayar, founder of Nykaa, a popular beauty e-commerce platform that launched in 2012 and became publicly traded in 2021.
Other notable self-made women billionaires include Neha Bansal, co-founder of Lenskart, who is also the youngest self-made woman entrepreneur.
While primarily known as a Bollywood actress, Juhi Chawla has also ventured into entrepreneurship, co-owning the Kolkata Knight Riders cricket team.
Radha Vembu of Zoho leading at ₹47,500 crore, followed by Falguni Nayar of Nykaa and Jayshree Ullal of Arista Networks, both with over ₹32,000 crore, are the top three self-made women billionaires, as of 2024.
