Muslim man in Lucknow felicitated for saving cow from well

Muhammad Zaki, a Muslim youth in Lucknow, was rewarded with a Certificate of Appreciation by the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police  for saving a cow who had fallen into a well. Zaki, 20, jumped into a 60-feet deep well with the help of locals and successfully saved the cow.

Not only by the DM and SSP, Zaki was also appreciated by Muslim leader Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali, the Naib Imam of Lucknow’s Aishbagh Eidgah.

Zaki was returning after his afternoon prayers when he saw a crowd and immediately went in to help. He strapped the animal around its stomach and was pulled up by a crane harness. In the video, he can be seen sitting on top of the cow to avoid chances of injury.
