Games of Thrones Season 5 finale left fans devastated. (Source: HBO)
The Game of Thrones Season 5 finale is over in the US and once again fans are weeping. Not because the show has ended, but because George RR Martin and the show’s producers have decided to kill off another beloved character.
Of course, the people who had already read the books knew that this was coming. In the books though, the ‘big death’ was a little open-ended, and left some hope for fans.
Now with the finale of the Season 5, there is more speculation on whether the show is once again deviating seriously from the books. Or maybe it is just wishful thinking on part of the fans who hope to see this character return in the books. Conspiracy theories aside, the Season 5 finale titled ‘Mother’s Mercy’ left many fans devastated because what’s a GoT episode that does not get its fans to cry.
We take a look at some Twitter reactions of fans after the episode.
That Game of Thrones season finale stabbed me in the gut like 5 or 6 times.

That was the worst Game of Thrones finale to date. I’m so mad. They put an end to a really interesting season with an awful last episode.
