While most users in India prefer a prepaid connection, a postpaid connection has its own advantages. For one, you don’t have to worry about recharging your number every month. Another important advantage of a postpaid connection comes in terms of flexibility around plans and services.

While there are multiple ways of converting a prepaid connection to a postpaid connection, we will simplify the process of converting your prepaid cellular connection to a postpaid connection.

Visiting Official Stores

One of the best and quickest ways to convert your prepaid SIM connection to a postpaid connection is to visit the official brand store. If you have an Airtel SIM card, you have to visit the Airtel Express Store. Similarly, if you have a Jio SIM card, you can either visit the Jio Store or Reliance Digital store to get your prepaid SIM converted to a postpaid plan. Similarly, if you have a VI SIM card, you can visit the Vodafone Idea mini store to get your prepaid SIM card converted into a postpaid SIM card.

Similarly, you can also apply for the same on the official website. Jio has a quite straightforward process and the Jio post-paid service is called JioPlus. Go to the official website or open the My Jio app, select the plan that you are interested in subscribing to, and then input your existing phone number. Next, authenticate yourself with the OTP that you receive on your phone, and your Jio prepaid plan will be converted to JioPlus postpaid plan.

Right now, Jio offers a free one-month service for JioPlus users, and one has to spend at least Rs 299 (30 GB data) and the family share plans start at Rs 499 per month. With JioPlus plans, users will also get access to premium OTT services such as Prime Video and Netflix, again, this depends on the plan.
