Samsung ‘Galaxy Core’ launched in India with Rs 15,690 price tag

Galaxy Core is powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon Qualcomm Dual Core processor.

Strengthening its popular Galaxy smartphone offerings,Samsung Electronics on Tuesday launched Samsung Galaxy Core priced at Rs 15,690

The device is powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon Qualcomm Dual Core processor and Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system. The Galaxy Core also comes with an 8GB internal memory space and 1GB RAM and has a 1800mAh battery. 

Equipped with 4.3 inch display and a 5-megapixel camera,the smartphone offers ‘Best Shot’ feature that recommends the best photos per 8 continuous shots.

The Galaxy Core also comes preloaded with several smart features like ‘Smart Stay’ that recognises when the user is looking at the device and saves battery life when a user looks away by dimming the screen and powering it down using advanced facial recognition. The ‘S Voice’ feature enables the user to command the device verbally and the ‘Voice Unlock’ enables the user to unlock the mobile using voice. 

Samsung has clubbed a special introductory offer with the Galaxy Core – a digital wallet of Rs 5,000 valid for 90 days,applicable on games. Additionally,the company is also offering free bundled data for Vodafone and Idea users. While Vodafone users on purchase of the device will get 1GB data free per month for 2 months till September 30,the Idea users will get 500 MB data free per month for 2 months till October 31,2013.
