Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has become the highest-shipped smartphone India’s online market in any given quarter, according to a report by analyst firm IDC. Xiaomi claims to have sold 1.75 million units of Redmi Note 3 in five months since the launch. Redmi Note 3 is a budget smartphone, was launched in March 2016 in India at a starting price of Rs 9,999.
According to IDC’s Monthly Smartphone Tracker, Xiaomi shipped 880,000 units of Redmi Note 3 through online channels in the second quarter of 2016, twice the volume of the second highest shipped smartphone sold online. “Redmi Note 3 is the single highest-shipped smartphone ever in the history of India’s online market in any given quarter,” said the report. However Xiaomi has not yet figured in the list of top five smartphone vendors for the Q2, according to IDC’s latest numbers.
The company had sold almost 6 lakh units of the Redmi Note 3 within 60 days of its launch in India according to earlier reports. In our review, we noted that the smartphone is among the best in budget devices and has virtually no lag.

Redmi Note 3 runs on an MIUI 7 based Android 5.1 Lollipop, and features a 5.5-inch full HD display. The phone runs on a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, with 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage. The phone is backed up by a 4050 mAh battery. The rear camera on the device features a 16MP camera sensor, while the front side features a 5MP sensor.
