Apple has released watchOS 10.4 update for eligible Apple watches, which introduces new emojis, tap to show full notifications, and enhances Apple Pay with Assistive Touch. The update also has fixed the "false touch" also known as the ghost touch issue on the Apple Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 (review). The ghost touch issue on the latest generation of Apple Watch was first spotted in February, where, the watch would fail to register certain inputs such as tap and swipes, and the company has officially patched the same with the latest watchOS 10.4 update. watchOS 10.4 update is available for Apple Watch Series 4 (review) and newer models, and this update also makes it easy for users to make payments using Apple Pay, where, users are no longer needed to double tap on the side button to make payments. However, for added security, one still needs to authenticate the payment using pin code. The update also fixed an issue that prevented contacts from syncing to the Apple Watch. If you have a fairly recent Apple Watch, then make sure to install watchOS 10.4 to experience a glitch-free user experience on the Apple Watch. Similarly, Apple has also released iOS 17.4 for iPhones, which also introduces new emojis, enhanced stolen device protection capabilities, and on the iPhone 15 series, the update enables an improved battery monitoring feature, which now includes details like battery charge cycle count, battery manufacturing date, and the battery activation date.
