(Image Source: Skyscanner) Skyscanner, the global travel marketplace, has come out with some interesting findings from its research, throwing light on the budget-conscious travellers in India who are looking forward to summer holidays and are anticipating great value deals in flight tickets. The company has introduced a new ‘money-saving tool’ called Savings Generator to help Indian travellers save more on their summer adventures.
The new tool has been introduced considering the recent travel trends to guide travellers to save on flights and get the most value for their money. The research by Skyscanner in association with OnePoll indicates that over 78 per cent of Indian travellers are planning to travel this summer, and 39 per cent are yet to book their tickets. While 51 per cent are indecisive on dates, as many as 50 per cent are unsure about their destination. Incidentally, this is among the top reasons travellers hesitate to book.
The research also stated that 47 per cent of travellers are actively seeking out the best deals, 20 per cent await last-minute steals, and 59 per cent of travellers are opting for loud budgeting (a TikTok trend that encourages people to speak up about their financial priorities).
The cheapest week to travel
According to Skyscanner, Savings Generator will show travellers average monthly price and also the best time to book for some of the most popular destinations. It will also suggest cheaper destinations.

The Savings Generator has offered a detailed analysis of the best time to book for popular destinations. This was done by analysing millions of flight bookings over the last 18 months.
The tool reveals that the best booking time can vary by route and month of travel. For example, flights from Mumbai to London in August are best booked 3 weeks ahead at an average monthly price of INR 68,122, while flights from Mumbai to Denpasar in August are also best booked 3 weeks ahead at INR 33,849.
