Jio announces new plan with 98 day validity and unlimited 5G: Here are the details

The new plan is ideal for those looking who want a prepaid plan with long validity.

Reliance Jio, one of the most popular mobile network operators in India has introduced a new plan with a validity of 98 days.

Available for both prepaid and postpaid customers, the new plan costs Rs 999 and similar to other plans by the company, offers unlimited 5G access. Moreover, you also get unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and access to the company’s Jio Cloud, Jio Cinema and JioTV suite of apps.

In case you are in an area where 5G connectivity is spotty or unavailable, the plan offers 2GB of daily 4G data. To buy the new plan, simply head over to the Jio website or open the MyJio app on your phone and pay Rs 999 to activate it.

While the new plan might cater to those who want long validity, if you are looking for a prepaid plan that offers access to OTT platforms, check out the Rs 1,049 and Rs 1,299 plan.

Both plans have 84 days validity, offer unlimited voice calls and 2GB data per day. While the Rs 1,049 plan includes Sony Liv and Zee5 subscription, the latter includes free Netflix mobile, which lets you stream content in 480p.

Alternatively, you can go with the recently launched Rs 175 plan that offers 10GB additional data and 28 day access to OTT platforms like Sony Liv, Zee5, JioCinema Premium, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, Sun NXT, Kanchha Lannka, Planet Marathi, Chaupal, Hoichoic and JioTV.
