Reliance Jio users have been reportedly facing network connectivity issues in the last few hours. Several people have posted on X (formerly Twitter) that they are not receiving a signal on their mobile devices, with some claiming that they are also unable to access the internet using mobile data.
According to Downdetector, a platform that keeps track of real-time service disruptions worldwide, there were around 10,369 Jio users complaining about network outage at around 12PM.
The website also reported that about 62 per cent of these reports were about “No signal” while 20 per cent complained about internet connectivity issues. Some users also reported that they were having trouble with JioFiber, the company’s broadband service.
Upon attempting to access “jio.com” on web browsers, an “ERR_TIMED_OUT” error message that said “This site can’t be reached” was displayed. Jio is yet to acknowledge the issue and put out an official statement.
While some X users shared their frustration on the social media, others shared memes about the outage.
As it turns out, the outage now seems to be resolved. In a statement to Indianexpress.com, a Reliance Jio spokesperson said that “This morning, some Jio customers in Mumbai faced problems in availing seamless services on account of minor technical issues. The same have been resolved, and seamless services of Jio have been fully restored. We regret the inconvenience to our subscribers.”
It looks like the MyJio app is now functional as well, but Jio website still remains inacessible at the moment.
