According to Downdetector, hundreds of users across the world have also confirmed that apps like Outlook, OneDrive and others are currently inaccessible. It may be some time before the outage is resolved.”
We’ve identified a token generation issue which may be contributing towards the impact. We’ve deployed a fix to disable proactive caching, which we believe will resolve the issue. For more information, please refer to OO953223 in the admin center.

Microsoft may have acknowledged the issue on X (previously Twitter), but the company has yet to reflect the outage status on its Service Health page, where it says “Everything is up and running.” The outage started almost two hours ago, but it may take anywhere between a few minutes to hours before Microsoft 365 customers can start using web apps. A few minutes ago, the company said that they had deployed a fix, which may help resolve the issue.
Microsoft recently posted on X that the issue affecting its cloud subscription service has now been resolved and that 365 apps like Word, Excel, Teams and others should function normally.
