JioCinema slashes its premium subscription plan to just Rs 29 per month, offers ad-free 4K content

The premium JioCinema subscription plans just got a lot cheaper and better.

JioCinema, in a special offer, slashed the price of its premium subscription to just Rs 29 per month for a single device, and Rs 89 per month for the family plan with access on up to four devices. The plans are originally priced at Rs 59 (single device) and Rs 149 (family), respectively. It’s not clear how long the special prices will be valid for.

Previously, the JioCinema Premium plan cost Rs 99 a month, and the platform did not offer ad-free streaming. With the new plans, the company not only reduced the subscription prices but is also offering an ad-free streaming experience.

Under the new premium plans, JioCinema offers ad-free content streaming with up to 4K resolution, with live sports being the exception. This plan includes all the content available on the platform from partners like HBO, Peacock, and Paramount+.

Users can subscribe to these plans from the JioCinema app or the web, and as of now, there is no annual subscription plan on offer. With this price cut, JioCinema becomes one of the most affordable OTT platforms offering an ad-free streaming experience in India.

JioCinema can be accessed on various platforms including smartphones (Android and iOS), smart TVs (Google TV, FireOS, Apple TV) and web browsers. Depending on the screen’s resolution, the streaming quality of the platform will be limited, and it currently offers plenty of content with up to 4K resolution.

The platform currently live streams the TATA IPL 2024 with up to 4K resolution.
