iOS 17 public beta: Apple moves the ‘end button’ away from the main screen
For now, the new phone app is available for those who are testing the developers or the public beta of iOS 17.

Apple has reshuffled the dialer menu, relocating the “end call” button from the center bottom to the lower right corner, CNBC reported Tuesday. This has stirred conversations on social media as many people aren’t happy with the change.
In the beta version of iOS 17, Apple has changed the position of the “end button” which has now moved to the lower-end hand cover, instead of centered in the bottom third of the screen. The repositioning of the button to hang up a call can create confusion in the minds of long-term iPhone users as they may trigger the keypad or initiate a FaceTime call.

For now, though, the new phone app is available for those who are testing the developers or the public beta of iOS 17. Cupertino plans to roll out iOS 17 later this year alongside the launch of the new iPhone 15 series.
Apple unveiled iOS 17, the latest version of the mobile operating system that powers the iPhone at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. iOS 17 includes several new features including contact posters, an improved messaging app, offline navigation support on Apple Maps, StandBy mode, and more.
Cupertino will reportedly unveil the new iPhone 15 lineup on September 13. We are expecting four new iPhones including the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. New iPhones are said to have slimmer bezels, a much-improved camera, and a new material Titanium finish alongside improved battery life. In fact, according to reports, the action button from the Apple Watch Ultra also seems to be shifting to the iPhone line.
