Idea today introduced affordable 2G and 3G monthly Internet packs. The company claims that users will save up to 30 per cent-40 per cent per month with its new Freedom Packs.
While Idea presently charges its users Rs 106 for a 300MB 2G Internet pack with 28 days validity, it will now charge Rs 100 for the same under the new Freedom Packs offer. Similarly, the service provider will charge Rs 175 for a 28 days 500MB 3G Internet pack instead of Rs 195. The prices may however vary depending on the telecom circle.

“These packs would help us enhance convenience for prepaid customers, who have to otherwise depend on multiple sachet recharges to manage their costs and internet needs throughout the month. These packs could serve as a one stop solution for them,” said Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular.
Idea attempts to target student, housewives and new users who have consistent but limited data usage. Idea with the new scheme eyes at retaining the existing users base and also add new members to its existing circle.
